Franziska Buhre

Franziska Buhre is a Berlin based freelance journalist, who writes, amongst others, for “taz” and SWR and runs the musicblog “mellowtown.de”. From 2010 to 2015 she was head of the project “Berliner Jazztreff”, a concert weekend for musical offspring. Since 2016 she supports guest performances of bands coming from New Orleans, 2017 she organized several concerts for the New Orleans based violoncellist Helen Gilet. Currently she receives funding for a project with Mazen Kerbaj as artistic director. As participant of the DigiMediaL_musik On Stage –course of the UdK Berlin Career College she supports musicians of different genre – Oriental, Dub and Singer-Song-Writer – with her journalistic expertise.
