The Laboratory of Insurrectionary Imagination (Labofii) merges art and life, creativity and resistance, proposition and opposition. The founders of Labofii, Isa Frémeaux and John Jordan, believe that social justice grows out of creative acts of disobedience. Between art and activism, poetry and politics, the Labofii investigates new forms of resistance. They treat insurrection as an art and art as a means of preparing for the coming insurrection. At Foreign Affairs 2015, the Labofii held a weeklong workshop – an “Action-Adventure Game Lab for Climate Justice”. They assembled activists, designers, developers, artists, gamers and other creative minds to develop visions of the future and concepts for ways and means of change. On one of the final days of the workshop, we talked to several of the organizers and participants about the goals of their work, the working process and the results.
